JSSDev follows the gold open-access model, ensuring that all articles published in the journal are freely accessible to readers without any subscription or payment barriers. Authors retain the copyright of their articles, and JSSD applies the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike (CC-BY-NC-SA) license. This license protects authors' rights while enabling non-commercial sharing and adaptation of the content.

Author Responsibilities

Authors submitting manuscripts to the Journal of Sustainability Science and Development (JSSDev) agree to publish their work under the CC-BY-NC-SA license. This license allows readers to use, share, and adapt the articles for non-commercial purposes, provided proper attribution is given, and any derivative works are distributed under the same license.

Article Processing Charges (APCs)

JSSD is committed to keeping open access publishing affordable and sustainable. The journal does not charge authors for manuscript submission or article publication. With technical and financial support from Universitas Andalas, JSSDev operates with zero Article Processing Charges (APCs). In addition, JSSD is dedicated to offering free services for authors from low-income countries or those facing financial constraints, ensuring inclusivity and equitable access to open knowledge.

Archiving and Indexing
